Recommendation

Recommendations for Asisco Automotives are being made with the interest of increasing sales / profit, better managing receiving, inventory, and delivery of products, and using Information Systems and Information Technology to ensure retaining current customers and gaining new customers.
Asisco Automotive has been using the ICas computer system for more than 20 years for accounting, inventory, and accounts receivable purposes.
·         The system is limited to use by several employees.  If these employees are not available for work the point-of-sales cannot be maintained.
·         With limited amount of hardware systems available in breach in system or complications will cause the company to stop operations or reduce operations to a minimum.
·          The ICas system has proven to be effective and efficient however, the complacency and failure to re-evaluate other systems has caused complacency.  The recommendation is to research other companies and offer cross-training to all or most employees is a recommendation.
Second, they should not limit E-commerce to a particular field,
·         Facebook is the only E-commerce platform
·         More systematic and time managed (annually) analysis of customers base should be identified and e-commerce should reflect the need. beforehand
·          As more social networks are available and users fluctuate a forecast indicating how many Facebook users vs. other network users can match the consumption conditions and their need for the company’s products and services.
·          find other E-commerce that can help them to maximize the sales profit.
Third, they using Excel and Access to keep track of the price changes, and they think it is very useful method for them.
·         They should not be content with the present conditions without research all aspects of the business’ mission as it is ever changing.
·         Security systems and back-up systems must be made available to better maintain the probability of losing information and maintaining information that is vital to operations and management.
·          Having set reliability on one system and limited computer resources and training the company will continue to operate at an equilibrium, brake-even point, or gain limited profit overall.
Finally, there is stabilization in the customer base with an annual growth of approximately 3-6 percent.  Recommendation for growth would be to extend advertisement through User-Generated Content with an employee hired to monitor activity.  The company may also benefit from micro-blogging in an effort to increase public relations, relationship sales, and market research.  With these recommendations profits and better management of sales, marketing, product support, product distribution, and advertisement should be positively affected in accordance to the company’s mission.

The company proves to have potential growth in cliental and sales.  However, the organizational silos, with respect to the business and its information technology are with the owner and his assigned managers or persons of trust based on the company being family run and operated for the most part.  This observation can be considered a dysfunction within certain departments within the business.  The owner is protecting his company and capital investments and profit gains by micro-managing and personally controlling all information regarding sales.
An organizational silo in not necessarily the problem with this firm as it is not duplicating data and services that are already available.   Money in not being wasted in this sense however it is not be gained. Company wide information systems are recommended and should not be difficult or impossible to acquired and maintain.
